What is liquidity on Polymarket?
How much money sits in the order book, which decides how easily you can trade.
Definition
Liquidity is how much money is waiting to buy and sell in a market’s order book. More liquidity means you can trade a larger amount without moving the price.
In more detail
In a thin market, a big order eats through the best prices and fills at worse ones. The gap between the best buy and sell price, the spread, also tends to be wider.
This matters when you look at what top traders paid. In a thin market you may not be able to get anywhere near their price.
