What is a No share on Polymarket?
A share that pays $1 if the market resolves No.
Definition
A No share pays $1 if the market resolves No and nothing if it resolves Yes. Its price is the crowd’s view of how likely No is.
In more detail
Yes and No prices add up to about $1. If Yes trades at 30¢, No trades at about 70¢.
Buying No is how you bet against something happening. You can sell the shares before the market resolves, at whatever the price is then.
Example
You buy 100 No shares at 70¢ for $70. If the market resolves No, they pay $100, a $30 profit. If it resolves Yes, they pay nothing.
