What is a Yes share on Polymarket?
A share that pays $1 if the market resolves Yes.
Definition
A Yes share pays $1 if the market resolves Yes and nothing if it resolves No. Its price is the crowd’s view of how likely Yes is.
In more detail
You can buy Yes shares at the current price and sell them any time before the market resolves, at whatever the price is then.
Yes and No prices add up to about $1, so buying No is the same as betting against Yes.
Example
You buy 200 Yes shares at 25¢ for $50. If the market resolves Yes, they pay $200, a $150 profit. If it resolves No, they pay nothing.
